We’re getting close to lift off date!  The movers will be here next week to pack up our house and start moving it all to Canberra!  Eek!  I have SOOOO much to do before we leave and I’m a bit freaked out!  I’ve got some editing to get done…LAUNDRY…two client orders to finish up…LAUNDRY…three photoshoots on the weekend…LAUNDRY…three sneak peeks to get up on the weekend…LAUNDRY…three galleries to try and get uploaded before we leave…LAUNDRY…cleaning the house…LAUNDRY…packing our suitcases…Oh, and did I mention LAUNDRY????!!!  Anyone want to come over and do my laundry?…LOL

Before I get going on all of that, I took the kids to our last mum’s group in Darwin today before we leave.  It was a bit sad saying goodbye to all the kids and mums that we have gotten to know so well over the past two and a half years.  Whilst we were there we had a little dip in the pool to cool off.  Jolie loves swimming.  (Sidebar:  Did I ever mention that I was a lifeguard/swimming teacher back in the day for a few years?  LOL)  I took a few snaps while we were there to remember our last time together.  Here are a couple of Jolie:

Yes, I forgot her swimmers, so she was going it bogan style in her nappy… ha ha  Anyway, time to clean the house!  Stay tuned for the sneak peeks from my last three sessions in Darwin!

Such a sweet little face! Good luck with the move!

It’s my baby’s birthday today!  I can’t believe it’s been a year since she was born.  It’s a day to celebrate, but also a day for me to be a little bit sad.  She’s not a baby anymore.  :*(  *sigh*  Oh well, she’s still little and still cute and still cuddly and still squeezable.  I love me a squeeze…LOL  To mark the occassion, I did a little “smash cake” session with Jemma today.  She seemed to really enjoy herself.  It was so fun taking pictures of her while she ate the cake, one fingertip at a time…LOL  Here are a few pictures from that session:

Oh, that first shot–she looks like a gourmet, carefully tasting the cake before deciding whether or not to partake. And, those lashes, those eyes, that skin…. gorgeous, just gorgeous. I think this is one of my all-time favorite smash-the-cake shots.

Love these! Where did you get that headband? I love it!

I had some more boys in the studio today.  I love being able to shoot boys.  I get my share of girly stuff all the time with Jolie and Jemma.  ; )  Today I shot with a bright white background and a shiny floor.  I haven’t done bright white in ages.  I felt a little rusty!  I might use the studio tomorrow to do a couple of birthday related pictures with Jemma while it’s still set up with the white background.  Stay tuned for that!  In the meantime, here are a few pictures from today’s session:

Whew! That first one is amazing–his eyes just blow me away. I had to laugh at the one of him on the grass–neck, what neck? He’s a chubbers, alright. Love the last shot of his brother–again, gorgeous eyes! Dynamite catchlights, too. Wonderful session…great shot with the mom.

What sweet, gorgeous little men! These are wonderful!

I had a repeat client back today.  It’s so fun to see these babies grow up into big boys!  Well, he’s not quite a big boy yet.  He’s still technically a baby, but it has been four months since I saw him.  Last time we were in the studio, but this time we decided to take it outside.  I had a great time trying to coax a smile out of this little guy.  He’s usually really smiley, but he wasn’t too interested in smiling today.  I think he was too busy investigating his surroundings.  We all got nice and dirty crawling around on the ground… he he  Here are a few pictures from today:
